Everyone loses up to 50-100 strands of hair daily and that is the ok amount ,  you should only start worrying  if no hair seems to be growing back in the spot and you start to see noticeable thinner hair . Hair loss can occur because of many different reason , such as our diet , stress , genetics , styling products , hairstyle, Pregnancy etc . Do not wait until you lose all your hair, knowing how to prevent hair fall is always better than cure, take action as you notice your losing way too much hair . Proper nutrition is key in preventing hair fall - be sure to eat properly to maintain healthy hair , fruits , beans , vegetables and protein rich food and at least 8 glass of water a day .

Keep your hair clean to prevent hair fall as dirty hair can contribute to hair loss . Wash your hair at least once a week with a mild shampoo, massage your scalp with the tip of your fingers, not your nails . Massaging you scalp will increase blood circulation to promote hair growth .  When your hair is dirty it is easier to get infected so keeping your hair clean will more likely prevent bacteria/infection that causes hair loss .

Be kind to your hair , do not pull comb and brush roughly on your hair when its dry and also try to avoid brushing your hair when its wet . If you have to comb your hair when it is wet  used a wide tooth comb and your fingers to de-tangle you hair.When your hair is wet try not to comb too much because you might stretch the strands and break them  off . Just be gentle with your hair this will reduce the amount of hair fall and will also prevent future damage.

Hairstyling - wearing your hair the right way is another know how to prevent hair loss  . Avoid pulling your hair in tight pony tail everyday , tight braids , change up your hairstyle sometimes , wear your hair loosely more frequently . Avoid caps and head bands which prevent proper blood circulation . Wear more protective style to help your fragile hair to regrow .

If your a stress person try to take some time out and recuperate , do some exercise/ yoga and get adequate sleep to reduce stress and prevent hair fall.

If you have chemically treated hair such as relaxer and bleach hair , you may want to reduce the amount of time you apply these treatment .  These are harsh chemical that will damage both your scalp and hair strands if done too frequently . So the idea is the longer you can go without these the  better for your hair and scalp.

Lower the used of heat styling tool , such as blow dryer , curling iron and waving iron . If you must used heat , used on low setting but I strongly suggest you eliminate heat all together if your experiencing hair loss .

You may want to consider supplement , such as Biotin , Iron pill, Vitamin c , omega 3 fatty acids, zinc, these will not just help your hair to grow but also improve your overall health .
